J. Craig Venter Institute Briefing

Metro/Bus Directions

  1. Take the Red Line to the Rockville stop
Before getting on the train, please grab a bus transfer to use in Rockville.  It needs to be from the station of origin.  Also you'll need $0.35 to get on the bus along with your transfer.
  2. Board Ride-On Bus #54 toward Lakeforest
The schedule shows that the bus arrives every 30 minutes.  Your boarding time will be either 12:40pm or 1:10pm.  Please get on the train with enough time to make the bus.  You can plan your trip on www.wmata.com (select "Arrival Time" instead of "Departure Time").  It takes approximately 45 minutes to travel from Union Station to the Rockville station.
Don't forget to ask the driver for a bus transfer so that the trip back will be free!
  3. Get off at Research Place and walk to J.Craig Venter Institute (5 Research Place)
The #54 bus route shows this is the 2nd scheduled stop.  Please ask the driver if you are unsure.

We'll see you there!  We're scheduled to begin at 1:30pm.
